Bengaluru, India — currently exploring
Hi, I'm Adithya.
I spent the last few years in structured finance — building cash flow models, monitoring covenants, and making sure a few billion dollars behaved themselves in spreadsheets. I've recently stepped off that treadmill to figure out what's next. This site is where I think out loud.
Now — July 2026
- Exploring What comes after structured finance — investing, writing, and where AI fits into all of it.
- Building This website, a writing habit, and a slightly better morning routine. Two out of three so far.
- Reading Non-fiction, mostly — business, psychology, and the occasional book that promises to change my life.
- Playing Chess online, pickleball offline. Running when Bengaluru weather permits, which is often.
Off the clock
The non-spreadsheet parts
- Markets Active participant in the Indian stock markets. My portfolio and I are on speaking terms, mostly.
- Cinema World cinema enthusiast. Will defend a three-hour runtime if the film earns it.
- Books Business, psychology, personal development. The to-read pile compounds faster than any index.
- Quizzing Quizzing and debating since college. Useful at trivia nights, insufferable at dinner tables.
Projects
Things I'm building
Mostly experiments with AI tools and finance workflows. Some useful, some educational failures.
Writing
Compound Interests
Markets, movies, opinions, and the occasional feeling. No niche, by design.
About
A short version of a long story
I'm a finance professional from Bengaluru. I started out in reporting at EY, went back to school for an MBA at NMIMS, and then spent two years at Oxane Partners as a Senior Analyst — overseeing a portfolio of over USD 4.5 billion in structured debt, where the fourth decimal place matters and everyone knows it.
Along the way I became the person who genuinely enjoys a well-built model, and lately, the person figuring out how AI tools fit into finance work rather than around it. In 2026 I decided to take a deliberate pause — to write, explore, and choose the next chapter instead of defaulting into it.

Questions people ask
FAQ
What are you doing right now?
A bit of everything — reading, writing here, building small AI-powered tools, and having a lot of conversations to figure out where I'm headed next. Turns out "figuring it out" is a full-time job.
Are you open to opportunities?
Yes — full-time roles at the intersection of AI and finance, specifically. I'm being genuinely exploratory about it rather than chasing the first thing that comes along, so if that's you, let's talk.
Why did you leave finance?
The honest short version: the work was fine, the industry is fine — but I wanted to build a life more deliberately instead of defaulting into the next rung of a ladder. So I stepped off to figure out what deliberate actually looks like.
What do you actually write about here?
No fixed beat, on purpose. Movies, books, half-formed opinions, whatever I'm currently curious about. If it made me think, it's fair game for a post.
What are you building with these AI projects?
Varied experiments, mostly solving small problems in my own life — with the hope that one or two are useful to someone else too. Fully vibe-coded: I can't write a line of code myself, which has made prompting the actual skill I'm practicing.
What's the best way to reach you?
Just say hi. Feedback on a post, a job conversation, a coffee if you're in Bengaluru, or a chess challenge — all genuinely welcome.
